Labor Day Weekend in West Michigan: A Celebration of Community and Heritage |
Explore a variety of events across Muskegon, Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo this Labor Day weekend. |
As Labor Day weekend approaches, West Michigan communities are gearing up for a series of events that honor both the region's rich history and the contributions of its residents.
Muskegon will host its annual Cars for Cancer Labor Day Car Show & Cruise at The Lakes Mall, featuring classic and vintage cars, a pin-up contest, live auction, and more. Proceeds support the Johnson Family Center For Cancer Care.
Additionally, the Hackley Park Labor Day Parade and Celebration will take place, offering live entertainment, bounce houses, face painting, arts & crafts, and giveaways.
In Grand Rapids, the LaborFest at Ah-Nab-Awen Park and the Ford Presidential Museum will feature live music, food, free museum admission, kids' activities, and a car/motorcycle show.
The Grand Crossing Labor Day Bridge Walk will also occur, covering multiple bridges over a five-mile route.
Holland and Zeeland will celebrate with the Labor Day Truck Parade, honoring local businesses and workers. The parade starts in Zeeland and ends at the Holland Civic Center, followed by a free ice cream social.
These events provide an opportunity for residents and visitors to come together, celebrate the end of summer, and honor the labor force that drives the region's prosperity.
