The Grand Rapids Public Museum's Spillman Carousel will be temporarily closed for major renovations, including restoration of the horses and chariots. The 1928 carousel is a staple of the museum and has been in operation since 1979. The renovations are expected to take six to eight months, with the carousel reopening in late 2022.
